Spruce up your appearance online and on paper
How you appear online and on your resume is as important as how you look in person. Make sure it’s helping you (not stopping you) from getting noticed.
A warm smile, a confident handshake, and a smart outfit are all things that can help you land your next job. But to ensure that you’re really putting your best foot forward, consider these tips when you prepare for your next interview:
How you appear online and on your resume is as important as how you look in person. Make sure it’s helping you (not stopping you) from getting noticed.
We do our best to provide as much information as possible about our open jobs. Before applying for a specific job, please review its job description and requirements to make sure it is a good fit for your background and career goals. We also invite you to learn more about our Mission and Vision to see if the culture at Independence Blue Cross is right for you.
There may be a couple of reasons why you haven’t heard from us.
Our Talent Acquisition team continuously posts new positions and removes positions that are no longer available. We also actively remove roles that have been filled. If a job is not listed on our Careers page, that means we are no longer accepting applications for the role.
Each application we receive is reviewed separately. So, we ask that you apply separately for each role that you’re interested in. While our recruiters may reach out to you if they have a different job that matches your profile, it is always best to submit a new application for each job. You can also sign up to receive job alerts from us when there is a potential match in the future.
We strongly recommend you upload your resume when you apply for a job. If you don’t have a resume, it is still okay to apply. If you do not submit a resume, please be sure to provide as much information as possible in your candidate profile about your background, experience (with dates of employment), educational achievements, and skills to ensure our recruiters are able to accurately review your skills and qualifications. This information is necessary to evaluate candidates. We are unable to consider applications that do not contain this information.
We recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to apply rather than a mobile device.
Our goal is to notify every candidate about the status of each application they have submitted to Independence Blue Cross. We admit we aren’t perfect! We want you to know in the event you haven’t heard from us in two months regarding an application, we likely proceeded with other candidates for that particular role. However, our recruiters might contact you if they find a different potential match for your skills, interests, and experience. We recognize how frustrating this process can be and appreciate your patience along the way.
Yes! We are committed not only to recruiting and retaining veterans and military spouses, but also to providing a forum for networking, camaraderie, and service. Our ongoing workshops, seminars, and programs are designed to help you and your fellow Veterans gain life and job skills to help you succeed in civilian life. Please visit our Veterans page for additional information.
For most of our openings, we accept applications on a rolling basis, though we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later. For any roles that have a specific recruitment timeline like internships or invitation-only networking or recruitment events, the timeline will be clearly communicated on our website.
Independence Blue Cross participates in E-Verify. E-Verify is a web-based system that allows an employer to determine an employee’s eligibility to work in the U.S. using information reported on an employee’s Form I-9. The E-Verify system confirms eligibility with both the Social Security Administration (SSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). For more information, please visit E-Verify.
