The application process What to expect when applying
Step 1: Review our job openings
We want you to find the best possible role at Independence Blue Cross (IBX) for your career goals and professional development. To help you decide if a position is right for you, be sure to carefully review the job description and requirements before you apply.
If you’re not ready to apply or don’t see a role that seems like a match at this time, you can sign up to receive job alerts from us when there is a potential match.
Step 2: Apply online
We strongly recommend you upload your résumé when you apply for a job.
If you don’t have a résumé, it is still okay to apply. But please provide as much information as possible in your profile about your background, experience (with dates of employment), educational achievements, and skills to ensure that our recruiters can accurately review your skills and qualifications. This information is necessary to evaluate candidates.
We recommend that you submit your application using a laptop or desktop computer rather than a mobile device.
Step 3: Watch for confirmation of your application
We’re excited about your interest in joining us! Once your application is successfully submitted you will receive an email confirming that our Talent Acquisition Team has received your application.
If you appear to meet the qualifications of the position you are applying for, a recruiter may reach out for a brief phone call or may contact you to schedule an on-site interview. If the position closed or we think you may be better suited elsewhere, you will be notified via email.
Please understand that we receive a very large number of job applications each month. If you don’t hear back from us right away, it doesn’t mean we’re not interested. We’re simply giving each application a thorough review before our recruitment process moves to the next step.
How we review applications
Your application will be reviewed by a member of the Talent Acquisition Team who is familiar with all of our jobs — not just the one you applied for. If they find a potential match, they may schedule a call with you to learn more about your skills and experience. This is a great chance for you to learn more about the role and for us to hear more about you beyond what is on your résumé. If there’s no current match available, our team may follow up with you about future opportunities.
