Fueling impactful partnerships

We’re addressing some of health care’s most difficult and pressing challenges by partnering with organizations in our five-county service area and across the country on scalable, high-impact solutions that drive better health.

CEO Council for Growth: Health Care Innovation Collaborative

IBX is a founding member of the CEO Council for Growth’s Health Care Innovation Collaborative. This multi-institutional initiative seeks to leverage our region’s strengths to build a vibrant economy that supports research and development, commercialization, and entrepreneurship — positioning the Greater Philadelphia area for accelerated company and job growth.

Civica Rx

IBX, along with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and 17 other independent Blue Cross® Blue Shield® companies, partnered with the nonprofit Civica to form CivicaScript, an initiative company focused on bringing lower-cost generic medicines to millions of people across the U.S.

Evio

IBX and four other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans have invested in Evio. This independent pharmacy solutions startup works to improve medication affordability and patients’ clinical outcomes and medication experiences.

Fair City Challenge

In 2025, the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia announced the launch of the Fair City Challenge and IBX is one of its proud sponsors. It is an innovation competition that recognizes a community-based social entrepreneurs with an innovative, actionable solution that creates a direct, immediate impact on historically disinvested Philadelphia neighborhoods — while preventing displacement.

PreCheck MyScript

A digital tool called PreCheck MyScript allows network providers to easily determine the most affordable medication options for patients. Powered by FutureScripts, this tool delivers greater transparency and health care connectivity by giving care providers real-time visibility into patients’ pharmacy benefits while helping to lower prescription drug costs.

Quartet Health

IBX is working with Quartet Health (acquired by NeuroFlow in January 2025) to help people battling depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders more easily access the most appropriate care. It allows doctors to use a SmartMatch platform to identify mental health resources to meet their patients’ needs and refer them to behavioral health care.
